Lessons I Have Learned in 2012

One of the greatest lessons that anyone involved in marketing of any form should learn is that you have to pay attention to Return on Investment from the very start. The Disney Company and Andrew Stanton learned the hard way that if you don’t follow the ROI-based philosophy you will spend $600 million on a $300 million movie (“John Carter [of Mars]“). Some Web spammers actually pay attention to ROI. That is why they are constantly testing cheap tools. If it costs $25 to make $100 they are doing pretty well for themselves, are they not? What follows from there is simple economics: maximizing your Return on Investment while scaling up produces more revenue than either maximizing your ROI or scaling up.
