Twitter Stock Plunges Following Reports Of Declining User Engagement by @mattsouthern

I definitely wonder about the future of Twitter. It seems too big too fail, but perhaps it’s settling down as users and people in general get Tweet-fatigued by a constant bombardment of half-complete thoughts. I suspect it will eventually undergo a trend similar to Facebook where people realize that they really don’t want or need to have hundreds or thousands of tenuous connections offering content they don’t find relevant. We’ll see users start being much more selective with who they follow and periodically “purge” their lists of accounts that aren’t providing value.
