As the one year anniversary of Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMPs) rolled around this past Friday, Adobe Analytics revealed AMPs account for 7% of traffic to top US publishers. This data is accurate as of December 2016. The report also reveals between April 2016 and December 2016, the amount of AMPs on the web grew by 405%. The rise in the number of AMPs on the web could certainly account for the reported 896% traffic increase to AMPs in November 2016. Adobe’s findings are based on an analysis of over 1.7 trillion visits to over 16,000 mobile web pages from January 2014 to January 2017. The data on AMPs in particular is based on traffic to top US publishers between April 2016 and December 2016.
