Google Updates Authorship Patent: Here's What's Different

The patent I pointed out at Google Plus was a related patent, which substantially shares the same patent description, but isn't the first version of the patent that Brian pointed out. Last week, Google also had the original version of the continuation patent application granted as well. It's: Authentication of a contributor of online content http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&d=PALL&S1=08291492&OS=PN/08291492&RS=PN/08291492 It's definitely worth looking at, and comparing the claims section from the older version and the newer one. The older one definitely focuses more upon how something like Google Knol was set up, and the newer one might be closer to how reputation scores might be calculated possibly even in Google Plus.
