Today on the Google home page worldwide is a special Google whale logo to celebrate the 161st anniversary of the release of Herman Melville's book - Moby Dick. Again, like the last Doodle, the Little Demo one, Google is celebrating the thing as opposed to the person who created the thing. Like I said then, Google typically celebrates the life of the creator versus what that creator invented. In any event... Google's whale logo, for Moby Dick's anniversary, links to Google's search results not for the keyword [moby dick ] but rather [Herman Melville books ], which brings up the relatively new, knowledge graph carousel . Here is a screen shot of the carousel for this search result, just in case Google changes it in 6 months from now (which would not surprise me): I have not written about the author nor the book because clicking on the logo takes you to more information about...
