What does having an office or even a budget have to do with the ability of a site to provide quality content and a good user experience? All these conspiracy theories and whining about Google trying to squash the little guy rarely come with supporting evidence. Nobody ever seems to want to post a link to their site. Could it be that the quality just isn’t there – that the sites that were hit really didn’t deserve to rank as highly as they did? Could it be that these poor innocent webmasters actually DID do things (knowingly or unknowingly) outside the Google guidelines?
