Are You Setting Up WordPress For SEO Success?

If you allow category pages to be indexed, I consider it a best practice to add some unique content to that page, like a paragraph description of the type of content found in that category. I don't consider post teasers unique content, even if they're different from the article, because they still show up on multiple category pages and paginated pages. As an example of a category description, see the paragraph at the top of this category page: http://www.seattlehomestead.com/category/gardening/ I'll add a bit more - I consider Wordpress security to be essential to both my sanity and SEO. I've dealt with too many hacked client sites from avoidable issues to not add the following: Keep your Wordpress installation updated - stay on top of updates by following the development RSS feed on the Wordpress dashboard.
