It was a busy week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable. First up, Google’s Matt Cutts said Google targeted polish link networks. Google had a bug that impacted movie blogs, they fixed it and their rankings returned. Google told us that without communication, the penalty may flow to a new domain name - very interesting. Google wants examples of scraper sites outranking the original source. Google’s Matt Cutts said clarity over jargon and that they may or may not use EXIF data for image ranking. Bing gives a warning that poor grammar may have a negative impact on rankings. Former Googlers explain why they won’t give up the secret ranking sauce.
