Good discussion topic Barry! Hmm... having spoken with two of these ex-Googlers at FOS14 last week, I think it comes down to the fact they seem to have fairly high ethics and deeply respect what work they have done and their old colleagues. Depending on their role within the Google Search team they do know a lot about what might get your caught or thrown out of the index but doesn't guarantee that they are the world's best SEO. But if you are needing an SEO audit or link removal project I'm sure they are probably the first guys you would want to call...
