Explainer Videos: Hire a Professional Video Production Company or DIY?

As a rule of thumb, I’d say that doing-it-yourself is a great way to either test your marketing approach or one -off communication, especially if you are being careful with budget. We've noticed that successful DIY projects work when your communication and/or identity is still maturing (i.e. at the start up stage); or when it’s expected to change and/or you don’t have the budget; and when you need dynamic communication content (instead of a static Powerpoint, for example) for a temporary event or presentation. We feel the following are really excellent examples of this:
