Maturity ratings help:

• Advertisers ensure their ads are not shown on inappropriate sites.
• Publishers ensure inappropriate advertisements are not shown on their sites.

Our current maturity ratings are:

• "U" - Suitable for all including children under 12 years of age
• "12" - Suitable for children above 12 years of age
• "18" - Suitable only for adults above 18 years of age

How it works

Advertisers rate their ad groups and Publishers rate their ad spots. Advertisers may also set a maturity rating criteria for their ad groups.

Ads are only shown in ad spots if:

• The ad group's rating is lower or equal to that of the ad spot's
  (For example, gambling ads rated "18" will not be shown on childrens' sites rated "U")
• The ad spot's rating meets the ad group's criteria
  (For example, an advertiser wants to protect his brand's image and sets his ad group's maturity rating criteria to "12" and "U". His ads will now only show on sites rated "12" or "U".)
